Turf Talk

Week of March 25th 2019
As growth increases so does our aggressiveness on the putting surfaces.  We will be verticutting Cypress Greens on Monday and lowering the blades slightly below ground level to remove more material.  We will follow with a light topdressing. Royal Lakes will be verticut and topdressed on Thursday.  We will continue our Nimitz application to the greens at CCW this week for nematode control.  All bunkers will be flymowed on King's Dunes and we will complete the rough cut on Cypress Links.  We plan on pulling out one of the Facahatchee grass beds on Cypress #3 and replanting with new Facahatchee to give the bed it a fresh look.  We will also begin our spring trimming of the Facahatchee grass throughout CCW.   The range tees will receive a fertilizer application at CCW to help with the upcoming transition of the ryegrass.
